Have your power needs increased or reduced? If yes then here’s how you can modify your energy supply or applied load.
Extension of Load / Contract Demand
You can apply for an extension of load if your connected load increases. If the total load is more than 25 KW then the estimate is given after checking the loading condition of the distribution feeder in your area, else it is provided over the counter.
Reduction of Load / Contract Demand
You can apply for a reduction of load if there is a decrease in your connected load. Once you apply, the site is inspected and accordingly suitable action is taken like changing the meter (if necessary) or any other measure
In case you want your load changed, here’s an outline of the process that you need to follow:
Fill the Application form 16.1 (page 1) in block letters with black ink and sign across the photograph.

Take Help of Licensed Electrical contractor (LEC)* for the following ( Click here to download the list of LECs):
- i) Section 2 & 3 of Form 16.1
- ii) An installation test report issued by LEC( Click here to download sample copy)
i) Kindly attach the following:
- a) Latest Passport size photograph
- b) Arrears Undertaking form Click here to download
- c) Latest Tapping meter’s bill copy (for Tapping application)
- d) Click here to download Way leave form and Indemnity form
- e) Three Phase Undertaking form (applicable for 3 phase meter) Click here to download
- f) Work completion and Test Report duly filled and signed by LEC and supervisor.
- g) In case the expected load is 50 kW or more, then kindly submit the Power Supply Agreement ( Click here to download) printed on a Rs. 100/- legal paper with franking.
- h) Attach Required Documents giving Proof of Identity and Proof of Ownership or Occupancy of the premises of the Applicant. Click here to Download
Note: Scrutinized documents should be approved by front end officer with sign, stamp and date. No affidavit shall be accepted.
Submit the form – The completed form and the documents have to be submitted at a divisional office. Click here for a list of the divisional offices near you.
Note: Please make sure you retain the requisition number (A unique serial number according to the area under which your application is registered) given to you at the time of document submission. You can use this number to check the status of your application on the Reliance Energy website or via your respective divisional office.

There are 4 simple steps that you need to follow if you want the name on your Adani Electricity bill changed.
i) Download Application Form 16.1 and fill information in block letters with black ink and sign across the photograph. Click here to download English / Marathi form
ii) Please fill sections 1, 2.1 & 4 of Form 16.1
iii) Attach the test report of Work completion of installation (Click here for a sample test report) certified by a Licensed Electrical Contractor (LEC). Click here to download the list of LECs. Note – Applicable only for customers with current load >20 KW"
iv) Submit the updated load/contract demand as per the requirement. Note - Applicable only for Non-Residential customers
i) Kindly attach the following:
a) Undertaking form with required details and photographs affixed. Click here to down form in English/ Marathi to download
b) Copy of latest electricity bill (of the premises for which you are applying change of name), duly paid

ii) Attach Required Documents giving Proof of Identity and Proof of Ownership or Occupancy of the premises of the Applicant based on your premise type. Click here

Pay applicable charges
i) Processing fee of Rs. 65/- for LT or Rs. 200 for HT
ii) Security Deposit (equivalent to one month’s electricity bill)
Note:
- • Existing security deposit can be transferred to the new account if the customer can produce the original receipt or a ‘No Objection Certificate (NOC)’ from the registered customer.
- • The applicant shall always submit the application in person. In case the applicant is unable to submit the application in person, he/she can submit the same through any person duly authorised by a letter of authority (in prescribed format) bearing a specimen signature of the representative.
- • All NOCs are to be submitted as per the prescribed format along with the Photo ID of the signatory.

- a) Indemnity form Click here to download (applicable for Service connection).
- b) Undertaking consent letter from all meter holders.
- c) Undertaking to provide alternate space (in case of shifting of meter cabin).
- d) Way Leave forms Click here to download (of land owner/concerned authority).
- e) Three Phase Undertaking form Click here to download (applicable for 3 phase meter).

2. *For loads above 150kW - As and when the amendment to the MERC SoP Regulations are notified to include loads above 150kW upto certain specified limit under L.T. Supply; else, these will be covered under approved H.T. rates.
If there is a change in your status as a customer (Residential or Commercial) you will need to update your category. After you complete the process we will send a technician to inspect your premises and suggest the most suitable tariff. Here’s how you can change your tariff category.
Residential tariff to Commercial tariff: Submit a written application addressed to the Head of Customer Care at your respective divisional office.
- Commercial tariff to Residential tariff: Submit a written application addressed to the Head of Customer Care at your respective divisional office along with an affidavit on a Rs. 100 stamp paper, duly notarized.

Submit your complete application form along with Form 16.1 at the Customer Care Center at your respective divisional office. Please find attached the list of Divisional Offices
Post document submission, the company's personnel will conduct a site verification of your premises. Once verified, the tariff change will be done and would reflect from your subsequent bill onwards.
There no charges applicable for Tariff Change.
